But then again, ever seen guys with sports? They can get quite fangirly. Sure, I know girls who are the same about football or whatever, but I also know guys who fangirl over bands and actors and weblebreties... Yeah good point there. Well they're pretty open with sports because it has a competitive aspect in it imo and they get all pumped up because of it XD I don't know. I think you can't generalize it like that, but it's more the way we're raised. Even if you have open-minded parents, who let you embrace any passion you want to from the start, society still teaches us from a very early age one, that boys like sports and girls follow people. And of course only certain sports. Not the 'pretty looking ones' like gymnastics or the cutesey one like horse jumping or whatever. Those are highly competitive as well, but for some reason it is weird for boys to like it, so most don't. And if girls get into that kinda sport? They are crazy competitive and ruthless sometimes. And I mean, my parents told us from since I can remember, that those society rules are crap. My sister loves football. She has a season pass for our local team and has a babysitter for everytime there is a home game and boy, you don't wanna sit next to her, when the other team scores a point! And I really love icehockey and american football and basketball and football (to some extent) as well. And my brother? Sure, he plays the macho, but he gets quite fangirly when he scored a ticket for certain music groups and will stay up all night to make sure to get them before they're sold out, and knows everything about their life and story and stuff. Long story short, it's this whole nature vs nurture debate, but on this topic I truly believe that society and upbringing has a huge part in it. |

Awh thank you I take it you're referring to the painting in the background? The guy who painted it is mad talented and it's one my most prized possessions. I have it in the lounge of my flat to scare off people who aren't into Doctor Who  |
