I'm really into Italian and north german home cooking. And of course everything with cheese. God, I love cheese! And meetballs... and chips (crisps), but only the bell pepper kind... I eat so unhealthy, but it's just so yummi...

Basically, you don't need to use a pan like you do for grilled cheese. Actually, I have a question. Why is it called grilled cheese, if you don't use a grill?

Why is it called grilled cheese, if you don't use a grill? Toastie machines make for great toasties. We had toasties for dinner, only we used the grill rather than the machine.

This isn't really my favourite food (I like too much to pick a favourite) but I'd suggest trying this. Fry some bacon (streaky bacon) so you have a "layer" of bacon, then do the same again with more bacon, put cheese in between the bacon, then put it on bread. It's weirdly nice (I'd just call it a piece and bacon with cheese, which is what it is). Note: this is different from a ham and cheese.
Also try a piece and noodles. This will sound insanely stupid but go with me on it. Make something like a Pot Noodle or any kind of "instant" noodles, butter some bread, then make a sort of sandwich with it. It sounds stupid, but try it.

Sorry, but everytime you explain something, or say something revelationey thing, your gif-icon-thingy makes me laugh so hard!

You can try a ham and crisps sandwich too. Cheese and onion crisps work well, so do ready salted crisps.

Oh I have had all these things many of times <3 I am not a fan of cheese and onion, and now after eating the tayto chocolate with the cheese and onion crisps in them I will never eat them again. I love ready salted :> Actually I haven't had french toast with the cheese in the middle. I will add that to my to-eat list!

Another one (I have a lot of not as normal as you'd think recipes in my head), fry 3 or 4 slices of bacon together so that they act a bit like a plate (they do actually stick to each other, in a way), then crack an egg on top of the bacon. Serve with toast, it's really nice (especially when drunk/hungover, according to my parents).
